We take possession of our 3,000m2 manufacturing facility in Chengdu later in September 2006 to produce precision machined components for the aerospace market. We are currently looking to identify suitable candidates to fill various important roles.
As our business continues to grow, we are seeking a Deputy General Manager to support our expatriate management and who in due course will be expected to assume complete operational responsibility for our facility in Chengdu. The ideal candidate will therefore be ambitious and have prior experience in the management of a manufacturing facility. He/she will have excellent communication skills and be fluent in English, Mandarin and ideally the Sichuan dialect.
Good management skills must be supported by a strong financial awareness and experience of working with western businesses. Experience in operating in the aerospace industry would be a distinct advantage. Whilst our facility is only currently, circa 50 people, it is expected that by the time the incumbent takes full responsibility for the facility, we will be at 150 people, so strong leadership skills are essential.

The successful candidate for this role will assume a key position in our organisation. He/she will be responsible for all Quality actvities within the business.
To hold overall responsibility for quality management within the business ensuring that procedures and processes are adhered to in accordance with company, customer, statutory and regulatory requirements. This shall include responsibility for formulating and maintaining procedures and maintaining quality standards for materials, components and products through the implementation of effective quality assurance procedures and controls. Will work extensively with suppliers, co-workers and customers to ensure process controls are in place to guarantee levels of quality. Will be responsible for managing internal and external audits, driving continuous improvement within the company and its supply chain, fault finding processes using statistical tools and ensuring compliance and accreditation with local and international standards
Exprience of implementing process control improvements and continuous improvement activities would be advantageous. Fluent mandarin and a working knowledge of English is also required.
We are also looking for a Quality Engineer with experience in Aerospace and/or other High Technology industries. Job role is to assist the QA Manager in formulating and maintaining procedures and maintaining quality standards for materials, components and products through the implementation of effective quality assurance procedures and controls. Will work extensively with engineering, other departments and suppliers to ensure effective process control is achieved. Will be responsible for managing internal and external audits, driving continuous improvement within the company. Will be responsible for CMM programming and advisory QC technician and will be responsible for managing calibration of inspection equipment.
The successful candidate will have experience in a similar role and be familiar with modern quality tools and will have the ability to deliver results.
Candidates with some English language skills (written and spoken) are preferred.
We are seeking a wide range of operators and manufacturing engineers to build our business when the first 6 CNC machine tools arrive in October 2006. Ideal candidates will be experienced working on CNC machinery (Fanuc controls) and will not only have worked in demanding high-quality environments, but will have a good grasp of English.
