Sometimes, we are simply called upon to fix a problem! In a recent case, a client needed a shipment expediting and our Chinese Supply Chain Manager was in the supplier concerned the day after the call. The goods were expedited and delivered into the UK four days later!

We have the people and processes in the right places to manage this complete activity. Procuring parts from items as simple as promotional material to complex Aerospace machined parts, we have the experience to provide a low cost alternative to existing supply methods.
'Open Book'
Some clients wish to retain visibility and control of their procurement supply chain and we are happy to provide our services 'open book' so our clients can see the real costs associated with each transaction. This is a very effective way for our clients to see and learn of the procurement processes in China as a step to eventually embedding the activity in their own business.
Procurement Support
A real simple and effective solution for an aerospace client is using Sigma as assistance and insurance. The client deals directly with a supplier in China, but doesn't do enough volume to justify a dedicated person in-country. In a case like this, Sigma can provide:
- + Direct access by the client to our English-speaking Supply Chain Team in China
- + Sigma maintains a status of all open orders and holds weekly meetings with the supplier
- + Sigma personnel carry out source inspections of the parts before despatch making sure there are no surprises when the parts arrive
- + Sigma organise all travel details for visitors to China including provide office accommodation
- + Troubleshooting - Yes, when something does go wrong or there is a change in scheduled demand, we solve the problem face-to-face with the supplier rather than struggling with fax and e-mail
